Hi Ladies,
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given:
and the government shall be upon His shoulder:
and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor,
The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
As you take the time to enjoy the gifts lovingly given by you,
and the gifts graciously given to you,
reflect on the wonderful gift of Grace from our Father.......
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not
from yourselves, it is a gift from God -
Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)
Our Wonderful Father has given each and every one of us a gift..........
Our gift to Our Father is our lives lived for Him.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
......The star which they had seen in the East went before them,
till it came and stood over where the young Child was.
Matthew 2:9 (NKJV)
Like most people, I love Christmas music!......not necessarily the
secular holiday music, although I have been guilty of "Rockin'
Round the Christmas Tree" on more than a few occasions.
The one Christmas song that always gives me goose bumps, brings
me to tears and swells my heart is O Holy Night.
Just the title alone says it all.
..............O Holy Night..................
Placide Cappeau, (1808-1877) a French poet and wine merchant was
asked to write a Christmas poem. He wrote Christians, Midnight. In
1847, Adolphe Adam (1803-1856) composed the music for that poem.
Unitarian minister and transcendentalist John Sullivan Dwight (1813-
1893) created Christians, Midnight into the English singing edition
known as O Holy Night.
On the evening of December 24, 1906, Handel's Aria "Ombra mai fu was
the first piece of music played on the radio. O Holy Night followed. It was
played on a violin by the "Father of Radio Broadcast" Reginald Fessenden,
with him singing the last verse
Christ is the Lord! O praise His Name forever,
His power and glory evermore proclaim.
His power and glory evermore proclaim.
I absolutely love how Our Father chose a wine merchant, a poverty stricken
composer, a Liberal Unitarian, and an inventor to give us one of the most
holiest hymns about the birth of our Savior.
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
The Lord has been wonderful and so very active in our lives!
Several weeks ago, our ministry www.basicessentials.org was
granted a 501 (c) (3) status.
Through Basic Essentials, in addition to conducting regular church
services at a long term care facility, we have also been blessed to
sponsor several other ministries.........
A young man who started a Bible study in his high school. It's
a very fun, great group of our next generation, and is growing
strong with 40 members!
A lovely young woman who has struggled both financially and
personally to become a missionary in her home country of the
Philippines. She is a witness to how God has provided for her
needs and the needs of her group.
Recently, we were gifted with several books from a gentleman who
once struggled with his demons, and with the power of God, came
out the winner!
One of the books contains hymns and songs, and the inspirations for
each one. From time to time I will share a song and the story behind it.
This is not one of those times.
One of the most important ways to Glorify our Father is to do good works.........
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph. 2:10 (NIV)
Yes, we are told to do good, to love one another.........
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you,
so you must love one another. John 13:34 (NIV)
When others witness, hear or are the recipients of our love and goodness,
it inspires them to love and to do good!
That is what we want; to inspire others to grow in love, goodness and to
learn about God's grace.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from
yourselves, it is the gift from God--not by works, so that no one can boast.
Eph. 2:8-9 (NIV)
Do good works lovingly, be an inspiration.
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

A day early..........
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Ladies,
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) We are commanded to give thanks in everything........
the blessings as well as the adversities.
For so many, holidays can be very difficult.
We may look around our family gathering and see the faces that are missing.
We tug at the what ifs, and the whys they are no longer with us..........
We may look around at our meager surroundings and wonder about our life choices and decisions........
We may look around and see the happiness and gladness of those who only feel joy, while our hearts are in pain..........
And yet, we give thanks to our Father because it is His will that we see Him in all the aspects of our lives...............
Blessings and adversities............
We give thanks to our Father because it glorifies Him..................
We give thanks because a grateful heart is a heart filled with love, joy, praise, and happiness.
We give thanks because it encourages others.......
Yes, you can be an encouragement to others..........
Think of the times someone encouraged you.........
now it is your turn to do such.
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind;
from His dwelling place He watches
all who live on earth—
He who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do. Psalm 33:13-15 (NIV)
Our Heavenly Father is always watching us...........
He knows what we are doing, what our
intentions are, and what is in our hearts.
God is omnipresent and omniscient.... (always present, all knowing)
He watches us, not to 'catch' us doing
wrong, but to help us to do what is right
and pleasing to Him.
Our Father loves us and it shows by His presence and our actions.
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.
Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.
Proverbs 4:25-27 (NIV)
In this day and age, with all the distractions, stresses, and confusion,
it is even more important to continually keep our eyes, thoughts and ways on the Lord.
With Him, we can walk straight.............
With Him, we make wise choices..........
With Him, we can witness.....................
It is only with our wonderful Father that we can and will grow in our strength, and confidence.
Remember........
My feet stand on level ground; in the great assembly I will praise the Lord.
Psalm 26:12 (NIV)
Glory be to God our Father!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 (NIV)
This is difficult for new Christians, and a confusion for unlearned Christians.
First off, God is not an ATM, a wishing well, a cosmic Santa, or a genie-in-the-sky..............
No.....He is our Heavenly Father who.......so loved the world
that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in
Him shall not perish but have eternal life....John 3:16 (NIV)
When we love our Lord above all, when we meditate on His words,
follow His commands and decrees, the desires of our
heart are aligned with what He desires for us.
Keep growing in your love for our Father and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Glory be to God our Father!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Pray................
Be joyful in hope,
patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12 (NIV)
Praying brings us closer to our Heavenly Father.
We are able to grow in our love and understanding for His will
in our lives.
Pray with confidence............
In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God
with freedom and confidence. Ephesians 3:12 (NIV)
You needn't be elegant with words when you pray.
Although Our Father already knows what we want
and what is in our hearts, He wants to hear from us, to have a relationship.
God answers prayers............
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
He rises to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for Him!
Isaiah 30:18 (NIV)
His answers are always in accordance with His plan,
with His timing.
Glory be to God our Father!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
He replies, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?".........
Matthew 8:26 (NIV)
Lord, There is so much going on in our world.....
war, death, destruction, famines, calamities..........
And our country has turned its back on you.
We've taken You out of our schools, sports,
meetings, businesses..........
Our military has allowed an abomination, on
the heels of exiting Your words and comfort.
We've allowed the youngest of our young to
be murdered and the oldest of our old to be marginalized.
Our country has and is ignoring You, Lord..........
and is turning to the gods of their personal
desires, goals, materials, money.....the gods of
themselves...........
But Lord, I have faith - - -
faith that no matter what happens in this world, in this country,
You are with me.
Your grace, love, forgiveness, and words give me strength.
What I do fear Lord, is that my Brothers and Sisters and I have been complacent.....
We've hidden our light, only to shine it in the safety of other lights......
That we've had "Holy huddles" and concentrated on formulas, slogans, buzz words, groups.........
As my husband once said "Too much vine, not enough fruit."
Forgive us Lord.............
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Rejoice always, pray continually,
give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)
Most of us pray upon waking, during our
reading of His word, for meals, and when
we turn in for the night........
It's not enough.
There are so many ways to obey our Father,
and pray continually.
During a drive.........
At the red light...
glance at the car either next to you,
behind you, or in front of you......
Ask God to be with them.........
When you see a car weaving in and out of traffic....
ask Godto give them protection and patience..........
In a waiting room.......
instead of playing games on a cell phone, or
checking your social media....
pray for the others waiting....
that God give them health and peace.....
That the doctors and nurses are kind
and encouraging.......
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
It takes but a moment to say "Thank you Lord, for all You
have given me, and all that You have not given me"........
It takes but a moment to say "Lord, please be with them,
give them strength, endurance, and peace"..............
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Dear Lord,
Today I dedicate my life to You.
In all I do today, I will do for You,
and in a way that glorifies You.
I will always strive to walk with You.........
Should I stumble or fall, I know You will be
there to pick me up..........
Should I race ahead and lose my way,
You will gently, and lovingly lead me back.
Should I not know the direction,
I will wait and listen for Your voice;
for Your ways and words will be my guide........
I will talk with You...........
I will pour out my heart to You,
knowing You hear me.
I will speak of my thankfulness for
Your love, grace, gifts, mountain tops and valleys........
Today Lord, and all the days You give me,
I dedicate to You...........
Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 (KJV)
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
There is a video clip by Jon Jorgenson spreading like wild fire..........
These are the words..........
No matter where we are, whether we're young, old, or in between......
Whether we're single, married, divorced, or widowed..........
Whether we have children or not, or we're rich or poor...........
These words are mighty powerful!
Print them, read and re-read them, share them...................
You are beautiful, you are smart,
you are funny,
you are kind,
you are unique.
You are worthy of love and affection.
You are never too much
and you are always enough.
You are precious,
you are a diamond, a rose, a pearl.....
the most stunning of all God‘s Creations.
You are worth more than you can ever imagine.
You are worth more than the numbers on a scale or the hair product you use or the shoes you wear......
More than how many girls wish they were you or how many guys wish they had you........
More than the price tags on your clothes or the percentage on the top of your math test.......
or even the number of followers you have on Twitter.
Your worth surpasses all Earthly things because in the eyes of the Lord God, you are loved.
You are worth dying for, regardless of who you think you are.........
Whether you model in a magazine or you model pottery with grandma........
whether you are on the hot list or the not list.......
whether you are head cheerleader or a high school drop out........
whether you are Miss Popular or you never had anyone you can call a friend.......
whether you love yourself
or love your life or you can't stand to look in the mirror and you feel as if everything in your life is falling apart.........
whether you are such a winner
or you feel like the world's biggest failure.......
regardless of who you think you are, the reality is,
you deserve someone who will give up their life for you.......
because you are powerful and strong and capable.
Read about the women in the Bible, Esther, Ruth, Martha, Mary.
These women changed the world forever!
And inside of you, each and every one of you,
is a women with that same power and that same strength
and that same world changing capability.
And your responsibility is to find that woman and set that woman free!
This is who you are!
And any voices in your mind that try to tell you differently, are from the enemy.
And the next time you hear that voice you say, “Not me Satan!”
I am the daughter of the Living God
cherished, loved, and adored above all things by the Creator of all things
for the Glory of all things!
I AM AWESOME! Please.......
don't you forget it............
Thank you, Mr. Jorgenson.
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Proverbs 16:23-24 (NIV) The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent,
and their lips promote instruction. Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
This is a wonderful reminder of how our words can
affect others........
Keep wise with the words of our Father!
Keep your heart and focus on Him!
Carry love, warmth, and the way of God with wise words
to bring encouragement, guidance, strength, love, and hope.
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Almost all of us have 1 or 2 people we would rather not have anything to do with........
Maybe they have wronged us in some way, betrayed, hurt, or slighted us.
Perhaps we find them hard to be around.....
They may be gossips, pessimists, grumblers, or just plain difficult............
Could be, they are sinners......
adulterers, drunkards, liars, coveters, or cheaters..........
How fair are we when we would rather not have anything to
do with someone who does the above?
At one time or another, we have all been the person someone would rather not have anything to do with..........
I know I have wronged someone,
I know (at times) I can be hard
to be around.......
and I am certainly a sinner.............
So pray for the 1 or 2 people.....
not once, not twice, but continually.........
Forgive them........
Ask our Father to forgive them..........
Bear with each other and forgive
whatever grievances you may have
against one another.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Col. 3:13 (NIV)
With God's help, with continual prayer, and with a loving heart,
you will see them as a child of God, someone He loves,
another person Jesus died and was resurrected for.............
Love them.....even if it's from a distance.
To God be the Glory!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
For the Lord gives wisdom,
and from his mouth come knowledge
and understanding. Proverbs 2:6 (NIV)
Following our Lord's laws, commands, and ways takes a spiritual, emotional, and physical commitment.
We need to take time.....
time away from the television,
time away from the computer,
time away from sleep, and
time away from activities that distract
us from our Father.
Does this mean giving up everything fun for the Lord?
No.......but if you give up one half hour of television or computer time to study His word,
you will begin to gain knowledge and understanding.
If you give up 20 minutes of sleep to pray and talk to our Father,
you will gain more rest with His love and grace in your life.
As you get more into the word of God,
as you feel His presence more,
the distractions of the world will slip away from your life.
One of the benefits of a commitment to the Lord, is that you will
understand the slippery-slope of satan's power.
Listen, my son, and be wise,
and keep your heart on the right path. Proverbs 23:19 (NIV)
Glory be to God our Father!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him.
”Psalm 92:14-15 (NIV)
Like many of you, I am blessed with getting older........
I don't care for the fact that I am looking older,
or that some things are physically a bit more difficult........
But I love that God has given me an incredible life!
With the valleys and peaks He has blessed me with,
I have been able to experience His love, grace, gifts,
forgiveness, and abilities.
As I am getting older, I am more excited about His promises.........
I want to spend as much time and energy serving Him as I can.
I want others to know Him......
to love Him......
to accept
Him. However............
I am noticing more and more,
that the older generation is being dismissed, ignored, or treated like a child.
I have witnessed this
happening in shops, offices, and even churches.
While there is still breath in any of us,
we are still being used in God's plans and for His glory!
Seek out an older person,
get to know them,
learn about their life experiences,
their peaks and valleys......
In doing so, I promise you;
another person will feel the love you
have for Christ.
Be good.
Be kind.
Love one another.
Peace,

Hi Ladies,
For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die. Eccl. 3:1 (NIV)
We all have experienced the death of a loved one.
Some have been chosen to deal with the sudden/unexpected
death of a loved one.
Some have been chosen to deal with the death of someone we
felt was taken too soon.
Our loving Father has a purpose for all of us, for all our lives.
He knew us before we were born...........
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in Your book
before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:16 (NIV)
God has plans for each and everyone of us............
Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Prov. 19:21 (NIV)
We don't get to see the "big picture" to help explain the deaths
of the innocent, the young...........the ones taken too soon...........
But, hard as it can be at times, we do get to give praise to God!
I will praise You as long as I live,
and in Your name I will lift up my hands. Psalm 63:4 (NIV)
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 2 Cor. 1:3 (NIV)
Remember............
He loves us........
We are on His schedule...........
He is in control..................
Look to Him for comfort............
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
Proverbs 31:25-26 (NIV)
As wives, mothers, and sisters in the Lord,
we need to demonstrate and show our fear,
love, and trust in God our Father.
Read His words, follow His commands, listen
to Him, talk to Him........and you will have confidence
to face any trial that comes your way.
Speak with the knowledge of our Father's
words..........encourage, inspire. Be careful of
idle talk.....Instruct and rebuke with love and wisdom.
A favorite book in the Bible is Proverbs........
Proverbs is a wonderful guide to living a
God pleasing, God following life.
Strive to be "The Wife of Noble Character."

Hi Ladies,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
It is so important to be in the Word of God...........
Knowing His words, His ways, and what He wants
from us, gives us the ability and strength to trust,
really trust, what He wants for us.
The best self-help book is the word of God.....The Bible..........
Read, study, and meditate on His words............
The best counseling session is talking to our Father.......
Pray, praise, and thank Him for all He gives.
Lean wholly on the Lord, and you will find comfort, hope, and peace.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7 (NIV)

Hi Ladies,
Many of us have people we admire, respect, learn from, want to emulate, or just be around.............
I have one such person.
She's a middle-aged woman who has had a difficult life......She has the mind of a 10 year old, the curiosity of a scientist, the attitude of a leader, and the heart of a mother hen. She is a wonderful child of the Lord, with a child-like faith......completely trusting Him, knowing, without a doubt, His love, His death on the cross for our sins, His resurrection, and His coming.
She sings hymns with glee and gusto, a beat behind, and always off key......
Worship the Lord with gladness, come before Him with joyful songs. Psalm 100:2 (NIV) She has been a blessing in my life. She believes I am there to teach her, but in reality, she is the one who teaches me...........With her, I am reminded of Matthew 18:3 (NIV) And He said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
Thank you Lord, for this child, my true sister in Christ.
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Psalm 100:2 (NIV)
There are so many wonderful songs praising
our Lord!
Sing praises to God, sing praises,
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
Psalm 47:6 (NIV)
Many of the songs praising our Father, are
centuries old.......I remember singing quite
a few of them with my grandparents at their
country church in Wisconsin............
Several of the old hymns were in my repertoire
of songs I used when I would cradle and soothe
my daughter..........
There is a wonderful comfort and immediate
lift in spirits when singing praises to the Lord........
But...........
Beware of the constant repetition of melodic phrases.......
It can have the same hypnotic effect used in certain
meditations.....a type of mind alteration that can put
one in a state of vulnerability to suggestions.............
Music is one of the most precious gifts from God............
but it can also be used as an instrument from satan.
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Honor God in all you do.......
Every day we are faced with choices........
Some choices are are pretty simple..........
What to wear, what to buy, planning our day.......
For the most part, we don't really give alot of thought
on what we wear......we have closets and drawers full of
clothes. Most of our clothes we bought ourselves because
we liked them, they fit fine, and they are somewhat flattering
without being immodest. We may also have clothes our family
has bought us as gifts. I am blessed that my husband and daughter
know my style and respect what I prefer. Like many of you, I don't own any
clothes that show too much skin, are too tight, nor do I own any tee-shirts
that have inappropriate sayings, advertisements, or images/pictures. In this
way I honor God. When I am in traffic and deal with drivers who are distracted,
speeding, being reckless, rude, or unaware.....rather than being victim to "road rage",
I tend to slow down, let the other driver go and ask God to take care of them, to help
alleviate whatever is burdening them to cause them behave in such a way. In this
way I honor God. When feeling stressed, fatigued, strained........and wanting to
lash out in anger, I may do so for a moment.....and feel utterly defeated
because that behavior does not honor God. And I repent, and pray
and I know that I always need Him. I am not perfect...No Christian
is...But by constantly being aware of Him, His commands,
His words, we can strive to Honor God in all we do.
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Prov. 4:23-24 (NIV)
How do people see us? Do they see us as hypocrites? The old "Do as I say, not as I do?" Or do others see us as "Six day sinner, one day saint?." What is in our heart is seen in our actions, words, and expressions.......
Ephesians 5:19 (NIV) states
speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs
from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,......
After all..........
As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man.
Proverbs 27:19 (NIV)
Let's show the world our absolute love, trust, and faith in our Heavenly Father!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Forgiveness..........
As Christians, we grasp the idea of forgiveness, but not necessarily
the entire act or heartfelt action of forgiving others...........
We are told in Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind and compassionate
to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God
forgave you. (NIV)
It is so easy and human to seek revenge, to hold grudges, to want to
"pay back" a wrong.
As Christians we have to take the right-eous road and do as God has commanded.....forgiving each other......
Trust me, it isn't always easy to forgive someone.
Back in 1989, a very good friend of mine had been brutally beaten into
a coma, never to awaken and was dead 7 weeks later.
When the trial was over, and the sentence was given, my friend's 83 year
old mother told me that she had forgiven the murderer.
I was rather surprised........I mean, she actually forgave the man who viciously
beat her son to death.......It took me a few minutes to let that sink in............
She said to me "I have to forgive. This is what God commands. I have loved
and trusted God all my life, I'm not going to let him (the murderer) take that
away. I will see my son again."
Since then, I have taken Mrs. Dorman's approach to forgiveness........
They have already hurt/wronged me.....I am not going to let them do so
anymore. God has commanded we forgive. Matthew 6:14 states "For if
you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you." (NIV)
When you forgive them, ask our Father to also forgive them.
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Today is Independence Day.
A day we celebrate The Declaration of Independence and the
freedoms in and of our country.
A day that is filled with family, friends, picnics, barbeques, games,
food, parades, laughter, love, sparklers, and fireworks..............
Radio personality Rush Limbaugh mentioned a letter General
Anthony Wayne wrote to General George Washington concerning
a battle fought............
"Your men and officers behaved like men determined to be free."
As a Christian, I find we are celebrating fewer freedoms..........
We Christians are being bullied and attacked by our leaders, the
media, and fellow Americans.
Because we believe Jesus is our Lord and Savior......we are considered
narrow minded........
Because we follow the Bible, we are considered bigots and haters.......
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt. 5:10 (NIV)
There is a part of me that believes in our country, but this country is not my
forever home.
I wholly love, believe, and trust in God our Father and in my eternal home.
When I think of General Wayne's comment, I wonder how many of my
brothers and sisters in Christ are behaving like people determined to
keep Christ and His commands number one................
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1 (NIV)
It is so easy to be afraid today.........
Bombings, weather catastrophes, crime,
drugs, political upheaval, hatred, moral
decay...............
Please don't focus on the dangers of the
world....if you do, you will become even
more fearful.
Remember,
God is our Refuge in all circumstances.......
Grow closer to Him and you will see, hear,
and feel His presence all around.
Tell others about His presence...better yet
show others His presence. Let them see, hear,
and feel His presence through you!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
Short and sweet...........
"There are different kinds of gifts,
but the same Spirit." 1 Cor. 12:4 (NIV)
Many people can not differentiate between
a spiritual gift and a natural talent.
A spiritual gift comes from the Spirit of the Lord,
whereas a natural talent can be developed with
training.........
However, we need to always remember that all
gifts and talents come from God our Father.
How we use our gifts and talents.....Who we
glorify with our gifts and talents will show
where we are in our walk...........
Let's use our different gifts and talents to help
and strengthen one another.....and remember......
give the Glory to Him!
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
How wonderful it is to get into the Word of the Lord!
There are times we may think we're too busy to read
our Bible....to meditate on His words....to see His wonders.....
but our need for our Lord, and His words are ongoing
and without them, we will grow spiritually weak.
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk,
so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
1 Peter 2:2 (NIV)
Peace.

P.S. My husband informed me earlier today,
we lost a beloved Aunt...........
She is home with our Lord!
Where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:3 (NIV)

Hi Ladies,
How many of us only go to the Lord when there is
some type of crises or a need we can't handle?
I have gone to the Lord with many concerns and issues.......
But at times, I have been guilty of not going to Him on
smaller issues......I take the "I got this one, Lord" attitude.
God cares about our little difficulties as well as our heart
wrenching ones.
We need to make the conscious effort to need the Lord
for all things, at all times! If we don't, there is the danger
that we become self-reliant and seek humanistic answers
to our problems and our day to day activities.
Trust in Him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to Him,
for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:8 (NIV)
Giving Him all our cares and concerns, lets Him know where
our faith and hope lies...........
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
We are a variety of women, in various stages in our lives, having gone through,
or are going through challenges, lessons and gifts our Lord intends for us.................
Some are going through incredible difficulties in marriages....some have
had to make the painful decision to end the bond of marriage................
Perhaps the need of prayer for forgiving another, rebuilding a friendship
on a level that hadn't been anticipated...............
Some are guiding the youngest of children.....making the decisions for their
upbringing through God's love and our own, through laughter, pain and
security......
Some are watching older children/young adults navigate the world and all that
life is offering. The need to step back, continue to pray and to know that our Lord
is with them.
Some have gone through the most devastating of challenges, the loss of a loved
one......whether it be a child, a husband, a sibling, or a beloved parent.....the loss
and loneliness encircle.........yes, Lord be willing, we will be reunited one day.........
the reunion for eternity..........Blessed be the Lord!
For those going through the feast.........Be strong, stay on the path, for this is when
complacency can set in and spiritual attacks can enter..........
Before I write Prayers, Thoughts, Encouragement..........I pray.........
I pray for each and everyone of you...........your struggles, your circumstances, your health,
your joys, your blessings, and mostly, your walk with our Lord.
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
We all know that children are such natural mimics..........
Not only do they listen to our words, they pick up on the tone
and sincerity of what we say.
How many times have they heard us say to someone "I'll pray
for you".....but our children never hear us pray for that person.
Not only do they watch our actions, they pick up on the subtlety
and nuances of what we do.
How many times have we expressed a little road impatience, the
tightening of the lips, the "momitude".
We teach our children from 3 John 11............
Dear Friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone
who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil
has not seen God.
We are the best example not only to our children, but to our husbands,
family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and strangers.
Let us be the women God intended us to be.......For Him, our husbands,
our children, and all whose paths we cross.
Let them mimic us being imitating what is good....because what is good
is from God.
Peace.

Hi Ladies,
The wonderful Billy Graham wrote in his book "Hope For The Day" the following;
The central message in the Bible is Jesus Christ.... In Genesis, Jesus is the Seed of Woman. In Exodus, He is the Passover Lamb. In Leviticus, He is the Atoning Sacrifice. In Numbers, the Smitten Rock. In Deuteronomy, the Prophet. In Joshua, the Captain of the Lord's hosts. In Judges, the Deliverer. In Ruth, the Heavenly Kinsman. In the six books of Kings, the Promised King. In Nehemiah, the Restorer of the nation. In Esther, the Advocate. In Job, my Redeemer. In Psalms, my Strength. In Proverbs, my Pattern. In Ecclesiastes, my Goal. In the Song of Solomon, my Satisfier. In the Prophets, the coming Prince of Peace. In the Gospels, He is the Christ who came to seek and to save. In Acts, He is Christ risen. In the Epistles, He is Christ exalted. In Revelation, He is Christ returning and reigning...........
My questions for you.......Where are you on your walk with the Lord? Where do you need to be? Which book in the Bible is calling out to you?
Get to know the Lord........He loves and knows you.
Peace.

Good morning Ladies,
.........Letting you eavesdrop on my prayer..........
"Lord, as You know, as You've heard me say and sing
I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
Oh, bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.............
So far Lord,.......I've been pretty good......I haven't been crabby,
bossy, demanding, greedy, or selfish..............
In fact, I've been thankful, kind, quiet, thoughtful, and just
a little humble.
But now Lord, I'm going to get out of bed, and deal with the world.............
Yep, I need Thee every hour............Talk to You in a bit, Lord........Amen."
***********
I believe that God has a sense of humor........Seriously....sex? It is the
one of the most pleasurable gifts He has given a husband and wife..........
How can you not have a good time with it and laugh?!
.......a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,......Eccl. 3:4 (NIV)
1 Thes. 5:16 Be joyful always (NIV)
As long as your joy, humor, and laughter glorify and honor our Father..........
Laugh! Dance! Clap! Sing! Share Him!.......Bring Joy!
Peace.

Good morning Ladies,
A new year!
A fresh start!
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10 (NIV)
I no longer make resolutions..........In the past when I
have made them, they've been pretty much the same
year after year.....lose a few pounds, eat healthier, be
better organized, exersize more............
For years, on January 1st, those were my resolutions.
And I never was able to accomplish any of these goals
to a consistent, satisfying completion...........
Why not? Well, my heart wasn't into it. It really didn't
matter to me if I were a few pounds over the ideal weight,
or if it took me longer to find things in my house, or if I
snacked on ice cream and chocolate.......Of course I did fine
for awhile, but ultimately, I was set up to fail to some degree.
Now, my concern, my goal, my priority, is Glorifying our Father!
Daily I ask Him to guide me, lead me, to create in me a clean heart...........
Daily I read His word......to know His guidance, to know where He leads me.
Daily I thank Him.........Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name:
make known among the nations what He has done. 1 Ch. 16:8 (NIV)
Daily I praise Him through words, songs, and actions........I will proclaim
the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! Dt. 32:6 (NIV)
Always, I talk with Him.............pray continually; 1Th. 5:17 (NIV)
My heart, and soul are in this.....I won't fail.........I've got Him.
Peace.
